Insiders Bash Katherine Heigl as 'Entitled,' 'Difficult'

If you love to hate Katherine Heigl (as so many seem to), then you'll really enjoy a new Hollywood Reporter article that quotes a few Hollywood insiders who are, shall we say, not fans of Heigl. One person who worked with her recalls "desperately difficult situations" involving everything from casting (she insisted on approval even though technically she didn't have it) to wardrobe. "She can cost you time every single day of shooting," says the insider. "Wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day." A big part of the problem: Heigl's mom and manager, Nancy.

"I have never experienced anything like Nancy Heigl," says the source. "It's about the mouth. 'F--- you. You are a f---ing liar.' … Whatever you'd say, you were an idiot. The call would be, 'This is the worst craft service we've ever had! There's nothing to eat! This is the worst wardrobe!' You knew that every day, you were going to get slammed." A source who worked with Heigl on another film recalls "movie-star demands" including "big rooms, the mother there, all the stuff. 'We need the presidential suite at The Bristol!' It was just a sense of entitlement. The biggest stars don't do that kind of thing." Of course, there are also quite a few named sources who defend Heigl. The main point of the article: She's seen her star deflate at the box office lately, and insiders are wondering whether her upcoming return to TV (she'll play the CIA's chief liaison to the president in a new NBC show) can save her career.
