He avoided jail, but Chris Brown didn't exactly get off scot-free: A judge in LA ordered him yesterday to complete 1,000 hours of community service, reports E! Online. And this time it has to be in California, not his home state of Virginia. Brown nearly had his probation revoked because of a hit-and-run accident and allegations that he faked records of previous community service. (An example from TMZ: He once claimed to be picking up trash in Virginia when he was on a plane to Cancun.) Brown's service choices include beach cleanup or graffiti removal, and he has a year to put in the hours. All of this current probation trouble stems from his beating of Rihanna four years ago.
