Because no one demanded it (well, OK, other than at least one 20-something on the Internet) there is allegedly a new picture online of Anthony Weiner's crotch. The gossip site The Dirty yesterday posted what it claims are filthy exchanges between an anonymous woman and the would-be mayor. The woman tells the site that the digital tryst took place after Weiner's not-quite-career-ending scandal and was continuing as recently as last summer. "I was 22 and in a bad place," she writes. "I thought I loved him. Pretty pathetic." She says Weiner offered to buy her a Chicago condo, and to help her get a job at Politico.
This time, at least, Weiner didn't use his own account, instead using the alias "Carlos Danger." Yes, really. You can read the exchanges here if you dare. Weiner's alleged messages are mostly just filthy and mildly kinky (he promises to "hold u by your throat" for instance), while the woman's also include professions of fandom. "Your health care rants were a huge turn on," she writes. Weiner has issued a statement today acknowledging that the allegations are at least partly true, the Atlantic Wire reports. "I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have," he says. "While some things that have been posted today are true and some are not, there is no question that what I did was wrong." He says Huma Abedin has forgiven him for the incident. (Update: The two held a joint press conference today, and she agreed.)
