Fans of Harry Potter author JK Rowling who can't get enough might want to check out a new detective novel by Robert Galbraith. It turns out that Rowling and Galbraith are one and the same, reports the Telegraph. The 450-page crime novel called The Cuckoo's Calling came out in April to "rave reviews," reports the Independent, but the secret about who really wrote it unraveled fairly quickly. It didn't help that "Galbraith" and Rowling share the same editor and publisher.
“I had hoped to keep this secret a little longer because being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience," Rowling tells the Sunday Times. "It has been wonderful to publish without hype or expectation and pure pleasure to get feedback under a different name.” One of the reviews getting widely cited in the wake of the revelation is from Publishers Weekly, which declared that "Galbraith combines a complex and compelling sleuth and an equally well-formed and unlikely assistant with a baffling crime in his stellar debut."
