John Kerry concluded four days of 'round-the-clock Mideast negotiations today with some hopeful words, saying a new round of talks on a final peace deal could be "within reach." "I ... know progress when I see it, and we are making progress," he told reporters. "We started out with very wide gaps and we have narrowed those considerably." This being Israel and the Palestinians, however, there's still more to go. "I cannot say we have a breakthrough," says the Palestinians' chief negotiator. Still, both sides have asked Kerry to return, reports the AP. "This has been years and years," Kerry said, and it's negligible "if it takes another week or two weeks ... compared to the stakes."
