In the think-before-you-tweet category: An Alabama man got sentenced to a year in prison today for posting a death threat against President Obama on Twitter, reports Al.com. Jarvis Britton, 26, has been behind bars for nine months on the charge, leaving him three more to serve. After that, he'll be on probation for three years. Britton pleaded guilty in March to sending the "Let's kill the president" tweet last year. The arrest came after the Secret Service warned him to knock it off after several earlier tweets directed at Obama. It might have been worse: In Kuwait this month, a woman got sentenced to 11 years for tweets calling for the overthrow of the regime, reports al-Jazeera. (More Jarvis Britton stories.)
