Kicker Lawrence Tynes atoned for two missed field goals—including one at the end of regulation—with his 47-yard game-winner. The Giants, now 10-1 in road games on the season, battled back from a 10-6 intermission deficit in a chaotic, penalty- and turnover-rife second half. Oft-criticized Giants quarterback Eli Manning outplayed the legendary Brett Favre, who frequently appeared rattled by New York's pass rush and whose horrific interception a minute into overtime set up Tynes's redemption.
