10-Year-Old Girl's Lung Transplant a Success

Sarah Murnaghan, 10, has new lungs. The transplant "went smoothly and Sarah did extremely well," said the family of the girl who saw a federal judge intervene to let her receive adult lungs. "The surgeons had no challenges resizing and transplanting the donor lungs," the Murnaghans said. "Her doctors are very pleased with both her progress during the procedure and her prognosis for recovery." She's now in intensive care.
