We get it, burglars. You like shiny things. But some things are off-limits no matter how shiny, and one of those definitely should have been the small box containing the ashes of Caleb Ean Hughey, who died at birth in 2008. The Hughey family came home Monday to find that a burglar had broken a window, climbed into their Georgia home, and made off with jewelry and other miscellaneous valuables—including Caleb's urn, USA Today reports.
"It is a shiny, silver-looking box," Jody Hughey says, "so they might have thought that the box itself was of value. They may not have realized what was in there." (The box is engraved with Caleb's name, birth date, and an angel.) It gets even more heart-wrenching: The couple has had fertility problems, so "to us, he is our only son," his dad says. "And it's very important we get him back." (More Caleb Hughey stories.)
