President Obama had some trouble wrapping up his policy speech today thanks to repeated heckling from the founder of activist group Code Pink, reports NBC News. As Obama was talking about Guantanamo Bay, Medea Benjamin began shouting criticism of US policy. “I'm about to address it ma'am, but you've got to let me speak,” Obama said. Security removed Benjamin when she wouldn't relent. "I'm willing to cut the young lady who interrupted me some slack because it's worth being passionate about," said Obama, according to Yahoo News. “The voice of that woman is worth paying attention to," he added. "Obviously I do not agree with much of what she said. And obviously she wasn’t listening to me and much of what I said. But these are tough issues, and the suggestion that we can gloss over them is wrong.” (More Code Pink stories.)
