Celebrity / Gwyneth Paltrow Learn to Love Gwyneth in 6 Easy Steps You'll need to ditch that Paltrow hate if you're going to get through 'Iron Man 3' By Evann Gastaldo, Newser Staff Posted May 1, 2013 10:12 AM CDT Copied Actress Gwyneth Paltrow arrives at the world premiere of Marvel's "Iron Man 3" at the El Capitan Theatre on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Los Angeles. (Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP) It's quite a dilemma: You want to enjoy Iron Man 3, but you really dislike Gwyneth Paltrow, who happens to be in it. What to do? On Vulture, Amanda Dobbins offers up a convenient 6-step plan for curbing your anti-Paltrow sentiment long enough to enjoy the 130-minute movie: First, unsubscribe from Paltrow's GOOP newsletter. "What's that you say? You weren't subscribed to GOOP in the first place? You were just getting irrationally angry about an email newsletter that has never defiled your inbox and has no effect on your Thursday mornings? OK, don't do that." Then, consider Robert Downey Jr.'s recent GQ profile. With lines like, "I do like a bit of Jung, and it was just this kind of numinous thing" and "Sushi's worth it, but sometimes you've got to clean the bugs out," perhaps he is actually the "smug and inaccessible" one. If all else fails, just pretend it's 2008. Back then, there was no GOOP or Paltrow hate, and her presence in the first Iron Man film didn't dim our love for it. "Notice how good it feels to walk through life unencumbered by hate for a movie star that you have never met. Embrace that feeling. Carry it with you to the theater. You can do this! For two hours, anyway." Oh, and then there's Step 7: Read this sentence, from Dobbins: "Friends, Gwyneth Paltrow is even good in this movie." Click for the complete list.
