With tensions running high in a city with good reason to be edgy, two flights at Boston's Logan Airport raised concerns this morning: A US Airways flight from Philadelphia was evacuated soon after landing in Boston after a suspicious bag was found, NBC 10 Philadelphia reports. State police tell CBS Boston that the incident is unrelated to yesterday's events. Another flight bound for Chicago returned to the gate before takeoff because two men on the plane were speaking Arabic, and that made other passengers—among them, marathoners—uncomfortable, MyFoxBoston reports. The men were removed from the plane.
Nor is Boston alone: Police evacuated a major terminal at New York's LaGuardia Airport today, after a suspicious package was identified in the shopping area, NBC 4 New York reports. The order was lifted 15 minutes later; CNBC reports it ended up being "a lighting ballast with wires sticking out." (More LaGuardia Airport stories.)
