But, shockingly, there are other examples of hasty celebrity weddings that appear to have worked out. From the Huffington Post: Carey Mulligan started dating Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford in February 2011; they were engaged by August of that year and married by April of the next. Nicolas Cage met Alice Kim, then a waitress at a sushi restaurant, in February 2004. They were engaged after two months and married by August 2004. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had been dating little more than a month when they eloped in April 2008—and they hadn't even slept together yet. (See how he proposed.)
