Multiple reports indicate Miranda Kerr is on her way out as a Victoria's Secret angel, but the reason behind the departure isn't yet clear. Us reported yesterday that Kerr "has a difficult reputation," as one source put it, and is "not a big seller" for the lingerie company. Multiple sources say her three-year contract was not renewed. But today the New York Post reports that it was Kerr's decision to leave—because she just doesn't have enough time, sources say—and the company itself was quick to refute any claim that Kerr is "difficult." An exec says they have "no plans to stop working with her," though he was mum on the subject of her contract.
Kerr, who is married to Orlando Bloom, "has become a big star—she recently signed a deal with airline Qantas and has just replaced Kate Moss as the face of Spanish fashion line Mango," one source explains. As such, she didn't have the three months per year Victoria's Secret requires. "Exactly the same thing happened with Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum," the source continues. "Their careers became huge, and there were other opportunities which made being an Angel full-time impossible." Both Us and the Post indicate Kerr will still appear in this year's fashion show.
