A British former TV star claims the princess topped off her disguise with dark shades when she joined him, Queen singer Freddie Mercury, and a comedian to a rowdy bar in south London, the Daily Beast reports. "When we walked in . . . we felt she was obviously Princess Diana and would be discovered at any minute," writes Cleo Rocos in a new book, The Power of Positive Drinking. "But people just seemed to blank her." Di was thrilled to go unnoticed while ordering drinks at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern: "She did look like a beautiful young man," writes Rocos. "She was always a very fit girl, so they might have thought, 'There’s a nice young man with pert buttocks.'" The plan evolved while the foursome were drinking and speaking naughty dialogue over Golden Girls episodes that afternoon. "Diana was in full mischief mode. Freddie said, 'Go on, let the girl have some fun.'" The outing probably happened in 1988, when she and Prince Charles were struggling to keep their marriage afloat. (More Princess Diana stories.)
