A pregnant woman drove a car into and seriously injured another pregnant woman yesterday in Houston, say police—in what Fox News Houston is calling a "love triangle dispute." The five-month pregnant Alise Kelley suffered two broken legs and had a foot amputated after Shareyll Hunter, four-months pregnant, allegedly ran a Lincoln Continental into Kelley and pinned her against the wall of a house, reports KHOU. The two are said to be pregnant by the same man, Christopher Chaney. Kelley's baby is expected to survive.
Chaney said Kelley, his current girlfriend, and Hunter, his ex, had been arguing over the phone and threatened to fight. The threats turned into reality in a confrontation yesterday morning. Police say Hunter stole Chaney's car. Hunter "revved the engine and pushed her into my house," says Chaney, who had this stellar explanation for the tragedy, per KTRK: "They just don't like each other. I don't know if it's because of me or what. I mean, I am handsome" Police are still looking for Hunter, who has an outstanding arrest warrant from 2011. (More Houston stories.)
