It's beginning to feel like 2008 all over again: Right down there with soda, Teleprompters, and the many things that Sarah Palin ripped during yesterday's CPAC speech was a self-proclaimed "balding, fat guy" who took exception to her statement that "the architects can head on back to the great Lone Star State and put their names on some ballot.” Karl Rove himself fired back at Palin today, reports Politico, saying, “First of all, I live in Texas, I don’t live in Washington. ... I appreciate her encouragement that I’d go home to Texas and run for office. I would say this, though, I don’t think I’m a particularly good candidate, sort of a balding, fat guy. And second of all, I’d say if I did run for office and won, I’d serve out my term. I wouldn’t leave office mid-term.”

Further, Rove said, “If she can play in primaries, other people can play in primaries." Stay tuned. Or not. (More Karl Rove stories.)
