A Valentine's Day miracle? A Houston mom brought two sets of identical twins into the world last week—a phenomenon with a one-in-70 million chance of occurring naturally, doctors say. Tressa and Manuel Montalvo used no fertility drugs to conceive the children, they say; before catching a third heartbeat, they believed they were going to have just one set of twins. Instead, Ace, Blaine, Cash, and Dylan (yes, alphabetical names) were born over the course of two minutes.
Cash and Dylan arrived just one minute after their brothers; the babies ranged in weight from two pounds, 15 ounces, to three pounds, 15 ounces. "We planned the pregnancy—I guess we just succeeded a little too much," says Tressa, 36. The babies were born at 31 weeks, the Houston Chronicle reports. The couple now have five sons, but say they'd still like a girl. (More Texas stories.)
