(lohud.com) More fallout from the controversial "gun map" published by a New York newspaper: The interactive map, which publicized addresses of local gun owners, may have been used by burglars to target a home in White Plains. At least two people broke into the home Saturday night and tried to open the gun safe, but couldn't, Newsday reports. One suspect is in custody, and police are looking into whether the gun database played a role. Some lawmakers had complained that the map could help criminals, and a state senator plans to introduce a bill today to keep the names of gun permit holders private.
