Is Piers Morgan bucking for a new petition to get him deported? Following one to have him sent to Britain over his views on guns—and another by Brits refusing to take him back—the suddenly controversial CNN host called the Bible "inherently flawed," reports the Daily Mail. He made the bold statement this week while interviewing pastor Rick Warren about gay rights. "Both the BIble and the Constitution were well-intentioned but they are basically, inherently flawed," said Morgan. "Hence, the need to amend it."
"Not a chance," Warren responded. "What I believe is flawed is human opinion, because it constantly changes." But Morgan kept charging: "My point to you about gay rights for example—it's time for an amendment to the Bible. You should compile a new Bible." In the end he was civil, saying they could "agree to disagree," but conservative Christians quickly returned fire, reports Fox News. "For Morgan to label God’s divine revelation as 'flawed' because it doesn't confirm to his own opinion is the epitome of arrogance," said a Baptist pastor in Dallas. "My guess is that the Bible will be around a lot longer than Morgan’s program." (More Piers Morgan stories.)
