PSY Apologizes for Anti-US Rap

South Korea's PSY has issued an apology for an anti-American rap he delivered at a 2004 concert, reports TMZ. The lyrics spoke of slowly killing US soldiers and their families, and PSY says it was "part of a deeply emotional reaction to the war in Iraq and the killing of two Korean schoolgirls," in his statement. He adds that he will be "forever sorry for any pain I have caused" and hopes that members of the military "and all Americans can accept my apology." ABC has the statement in full here.

The controversy comes two days before the "Gangnam Style" rapper is to perform at a holiday concert for charity in front of President Obama and his family.
