A Florida teenager is dead, and authorities say it's all because of an argument over loud music. Police say Michael David Dunn, 45, who was in town for his son's wedding Friday, pulled into a convenience store parking lot with his girlfriend and asked Jordan Russell Davis, 17, and his friends to turn down the music they were playing in their SUV. Then—while Dunn's girlfriend and the driver of the SUV were in the store—Dunn and Davis had an argument, and the older man allegedly pulled out a gun and fired eight or nine times, the Orlando Sentinel reports. Davis, who was sitting in the back seat of the SUV, was hit twice.
Dunn and his girlfriend then left, and the next morning in their hotel room they heard that someone had died after the shooting. Even so, they returned home, where Dunn was arrested that same day on charges of murder and attempted murder. His lawyer did not offer any details, but said Dunn was acting responsibly and defending himself. (More murder stories.)
