A new outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus has claimed three lives in the capital city of Kampala, with two of the dead hailing from the same family, Uganda's health minister announced today. Reuters reports that five more people suspected to have contracted the virus are being watched, with two held in isolation facilities there. Officials say the new cases are not related to July's Ebola outbreak; the country had only last month declared it was free of the virus. In mid-October, Uganda reported an outbreak of Marbug, a sister virus of Ebola, which also claimed three lives. (More Ebola stories.)
