(AP Photo/The Daily News, Jefferson Siegel, Pool) Cheer up, Delmon Young. Sure, you didn't win a World Series ring, but at least you're not going to jail. The Detroit Tigers outfielder pleaded guilty to misdemeanor aggravated harassment in New York court today in connection with his drunken, anti-Semitic outburst in April, after striking a deal to avoid prison, the New York Post reports. Young, who became a free agent post-Series, reportedly got into a fight with a group of tourists who were talking to a yarmulke-wearing panhandler; he was heard shouting "F--king Jews!" as he threw one businessman into a wall. Under the terms of the deal, the 27-year-old didn't admit to any specific actions—he says he doesn't remember the night—and will have to perform 10 days of community service and attend a one-day workshop on tolerance.
