Celebrity / Cee Lo Green Cee Lo Accused of Drugging Woman Singer's lawyer says claim just an extortion attempt By Mark Russell, Newser Staff Posted Nov 2, 2012 6:00 AM CDT Copied Singer Cee Lo Green, a judge on the singing competition series "The Voice," arrives at the 2012 NBC Universal Press Day on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Pasadena, Calif. (AP Photo/Vince Bucci) A woman accusing Cee Lo Green of sexual assault claims that the music star drugged her with Ecstasy, and she secretly recorded a conversation in which he admits guilt, reports TMZ. The woman says she went on a date with Cee Lo in July, but woke up hours later naked in bed with the singer and no memory of what happened. After the woman went to the police with her accusations, the police had her call Cee Lo in an attempt to make him confess to what happened. In the call, the singer apologizes and makes references to MDMA—although he does not explicitly say he slipped the drug to her, and Ecstasy usually does not cause memory loss. Cee Lo's lawyer says this is all just an extortion attempt, a claim the woman's lawyer strongly denies. (More Cee Lo Green stories.) Report an error
