Stars' union says none of 70 nominees will cross picket line

None of the 70 actors nominated for a Golden Globe this year will cross a picket line to pick up their award, Variety reports. Striking writers have refused to grant a waiver to the Globes producers and will be picketing the Jan. 13 awards show instead; Screen Actors Guild president Alan Rosenberg said yesterday SAG members are behind the writers all the way.

After discussions with actors and their representatives, Rosenberg said, "there appears to be unanimous agreement that these actors will not cross WGA picket lines to appear on the Golden Globe Awards as acceptors or presenters." Stars or no stars, NBC appears ready to hold producers to their obligation to put on a show.
