Koch Industries president Dave Robertson has sent a missive to employees warning that they could "suffer the consequences, including higher gasoline prices, runaway inflation, and other ills," if President Obama is reelected, Yahoo News reports. The letter was included in a voter information packet sent to workers at Georgia Pacific, a Koch subsidiary. The packet also contained an endorsement of Mitt Romney penned by David Koch and an attack on Obama written by Charles Koch—alongside a list of candidates endorsed by the firm or its PAC.

Robertson's letter is far from unique. A look at employees of other firms who have gotten similar letters:

  • "If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current president plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company," David Siegel, CEO of Florida's Westgate Resorts, wrote in an email to workers.
  • ASG Software Solutions' CEO Arthur Allen, meanwhile, wrote that if a new president isn't elected, the company could lose its independence. In that event, "I don't want to hear any complaints regarding the fallout that will most likely come."
