A national peanut butter recall just keeps growing, with stores from Whole Foods to Target to Stop & Shop now affected—and it's not just peanut butter that's causing salmonella concerns. Sunland, the company behind the recall, is adding cashew butter, blanched and roasted peanut products, and tahini to the roster of recalled items, CBS News reports. Some 101 products are now being recalled, up from 76 just days ago.
They include varieties of Whole Foods cookies and Stop & Shop crackers, as well as chocolate and ice cream. Some 30 illnesses across 19 states are traceable to Trader Joe's peanut butter, the first product to cause concern. While the other foods haven't actually been linked to salmonella cases, they share manufacturing equipment with the Trader Joe's snack. Among other stores in the recall are Fresh & Easy, Giant Food, and Harry and David. The full list of affected products is here. (More peanut butter stories.)
