Cloud gazers, make room for "undulatus asperatus." That translates into "agitated waves," and advocates are pushing for it to be formally recognized as a new cloud variety, reports USA Today. The movement has been gaining steam since a 2006 photo from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went viral. But whether it joins the ranks of cumulus, stratus, and other well-known classifications is all up to the World Meteorological Organization. We'll hope that cloud watchers are the patient type, however, because the decision may be a "few years away," notes the newspaper. (More undulatus asperatus stories.)
