Katherine Jackson now says she was kept incommunicado at an Arizona spa and was not told her grandchildren were frantic with worry. She made the surprising revelation in court documents filed before a judge returned guardianship of Michael Jackson's three children to her yesterday. She said she had planned to go on a tour to see her sons perform in concert when she was suddenly whisked off instead to the spa, where she was told to rest under doctors orders. Jackson, 82, said she had no Internet or working phone access, and had no idea her grandchildren were worried about her until she spotted a news program shortly before her return to her California home, reports AP.
"I had no reason to question whether the people with whom I placed trust would inform me that Prince, Paris, and Blanket were trying to reach me," she said. "The day before I was brought home from Tucson, I was finally permitted to use the phone" to speak to them. Jackson was vague about who brought her to the spa, but presumably it involved her own children, who are bickering over Michael Jackson's $1 billion will, which leaves them nothing. Jackson, who lost guardianship of the late singers' kids after she disappeared, will now share custody of them with her nephew, TJ Jackson. "I think the kids are in terrific hands," the judge said.
