An Indiana man who thought it was a good idea to drunkenly strap four kids to the hood of his car and go on a three-block joy ride has pleaded guilty to several charges. Aaron Stefanski, 29 of Fort Wayne, was arrested in May after a witness called 911. Stefanski pleaded guilty to child neglect and drunken driving charges and faces six months to three years in prison on each of the four counts, reports AP. Stefanski told cops he thought the kids, ages 4 to 7, would like the ride. Elsewhere:

  • From the Albany Times Union comes the priceless tale of Roberto Bidinost, accused of growing pot in his home. Seems Bidinost showed up for his sentencing this morning a couple of sheets to the wind, and informed the judge, "I would suggest you talk to me now that I've had a couple of cocktails because when I'm sober I'm not the nicest person in the world." Sentencing postponed.
  • Seems rocker Ted Nugent's drummer, Mick Brown, wanted to keep the party going after a show Sunday in Bangor, Maine. Cops say an inebriated Brown stole a golf cart from the concert venue, and fled the scene with two women aboard before he was finally halted, reports the LA Times. The carnage? Two traffic cones, "one significantly so," according to the police report.
  • And finally, real carnage back in Western New York, where 63-year-old Norman Kleever was navigating back roads when he failed to recognize or avoid an escaped cow, reports the Democrat and Chronicle. The errant bovine did not survive the encounter, and Kleever has been charged with DWI.
