Oh, by the way, the House of Representatives will make history later today by holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt. Why schedule the vote on a day when it's sure to be buried amid ObamaCare headlines? At Salon, Steve Kornacki thinks it's an intentional move by John Boehner to save his party from embarrassment. The GOP once hoped that Fast and Furious would grow into a scandal that would cause serious damage to the White House, but it's clear now—in part because of stories like this—that it's going to fizzle, writes Kornacki.

Boehner knows this, but he has to let the vote happen to appease conservatives. On the other hand, he also wants to keep his party from being linked with "right-wing paranoia." By scheduling the vote on the same day as the ObamaCare ruling, he "gave the base what it wanted, but in a way that guarantees the smallest possible audience of non-Republican voters will know about it."
