Wall Street was abuzz today with rumors about Google CEO Larry Page's health after he skipped yesterday's shareholder meeting and the company said he'd miss two upcoming events as well. So much so that Page wrote an email to employees to say that "there is nothing seriously wrong with me," reports the Wall Street Journal. Page added that he would "continue to run the company."
Yesterday, the company explained Page's absence by saying that he has a voice condition and can't do any public speaking. "This unfortunately also does recall sad memories of the vague announcements Apple once made about the health of Steve Jobs—announcements that absurdly underplayed the severity of his condition," writes Henry Blodget at Business Insider. A JP Morgan analyst, meanwhile, noted that Page hasn't posted on his Google+ account in about a month. (More Larry Page stories.)
