A woman plowed her car into a crowded street party in Lima, Ohio, last night and hurt up to 30 people, some of them seriously, LimaOhio reports. No one was killed, but people sustained injuries to heads, necks, and legs, and at least two were admitted to hospital. “It just happened so fast,” said a bystander. “We all fell backwards. It was unreal. There were bodies, and shoes and jewelry."

The driver had been parked a few feet away when she suddenly gunned it, driving at full speed until she hit a sculpture in the square, MSNBC reports. Witnesses said men then hoisted up the car to free people pinned underneath. Police have not revealed the driver's name or a possible motive, but a bystander said the woman looked 40-something and had a dog in the back seat, the AP reports. "I remember looking at the woman's face," the bystander said. "She looked disoriented." (More car crash stories.)
