Krystle Marie Reyes has been busted for what is thought to be one of the biggest cases of tax fraud in Oregon history, reports the New York Daily News. Reyes was able to get $2.1 million back from the state after claiming on her TurboTax return that she had $3 million in income in 2011. She was issued a Visa debit card for the full amount, and was able to spend more than $200,000 before she was caught—which only happened because she reported the card stolen. "We manually reviewed it and our internal controls failed,” explained a spokesman for the Oregon Revenue Department. (More Kyrstle Marie Reyes stories.)
