What does the Obama administration mean when it talks about "green jobs"? Apparently a lot more than you probably thought. Darrell Issa held a hearing on labor statistics yesterday in which he picked apart the administration's definition of that term, getting Acting Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner Josh Galvin to admit that even some oil lobbyists counted as having "green jobs."
In a combative exchange transcribed by the Daily Caller, Issa gave Galvin a long line of jobs, asking if each was green. Among the jobs Galvin admitted were considered green: A professor teaching environmental studies classes, a school bus driver, consignment shop workers, used-record store employees, garbage men, and, yes, oil lobbyists, assuming they lobbied regarding environmental issues.
