Jerry Sandusky wrote love letters to an alleged victim that will be read aloud at his child sex abuse trial, sources tell ABC. One of the eight accusers, known as Victim 4, is expected to be the first witness called against the former Penn State coach. He will show the court the gifts Sandusky gave him, and read the "creepy" letters from the coach, which include a story written in the third person, sources close to the case say.
The first day of jury selection was yesterday, and prosecutors and Sandusky's lawyers managed to agree on nine out of 16 jurors and alternates. Witnesses may include the widow and son of former Penn State head coach Joe Paterno, defense lawyers revealed. The pool of potential jurors was told that they would not be sequestered during the trial, which is expected to last up to three weeks, but will be required to avoid accounts of the trial in TV, newspapers, and social media.
