A boozing, out-of-control granny has pleaded guilty to slugging a male passenger on a flight out of Melbourne, the Herald Sun reports. Frances Macaskill, 58, yelled "profanities at other passengers and air crew and violently punched several seats," a prosecutor said. "A short time later the accused stood up from her seat and punched ... the victim." The man, who sat in front of her, suffered a 2-inch gash that bled profusely.

Restrained by the flight crew, Macaskill smacked her head so wildly against the seat in front of her that attendants strapped her down with three child safety seatbelts. Witnesses testified that she was downing duty-free alcohol during the flight and had an ongoing drinking problem. Her attorney said Macaskill "had no recollection of the incident," even though the flight had to return to Melbourne. Sentencing is expected tomorrow. (More flight stories.)
