Alternate Juror: I Wasn't Flirting With Edwards

An alternate juror in the John Edwards case wasn't flirting with the former candidate, she says, despite accusations to the contrary. The ABC News report citing "giggling" and "blushing" was "just the most funny thing I'd ever heard," Denise Speight said today on Good Morning America. She had "no intentions of flirting with John Edwards," she says, "and I don’t think he had any intentions of blushing or flirting back with me."

So what was the giggling all about? It was over "the media’s reaction when we walked into the courtroom over our outfits and color," she said, referring to the fact that she'd color-coordinated her clothes with her fellow alternate jurors. "Really we sat in a room for hours, we already learned about everybody, so we talked about wardrobe," said another alternate, Leah Peterson. "We started wearing the same colors."
