Texas finally pushes him over the delegate mark

It took a while, but Mitt Romney has arrived at 1,144, the number of delegates necessary to clinch the Republican nomination. The results from the Texas primary tonight pushed him over the milestone, reports AP. With 94% of precincts reporting, Romney grabbed 69% of the vote, well over the 38% he needed to take enough of the state's 155 delegates to lock up the nomination. Ron Paul was second with 12%.
