A new super PAC is targeting younger voters—but it's Republican, not Democratic. Crossroads Generation aims to tap into the frustration of young Americans fed up with poor job prospects, overwhelming student loans, and a weak economy. The new PAC is today launching a $50,000 social media campaign focusing on young voters in eight swing states. "Younger voters aren't looking for a party label," said a communications adviser for the PAC. "They're looking for someone to present a solution for how things are going to get better."
The PAC hopes to mobilize the estimated 250,000 student members of the College Republicans, who occupy more than 1,800 campuses, to aid its cause. The Obama camp defended the president's record helping younger citizens, pointing to efforts to add 4.2 million private sector jobs to the economy, and noting that unemployment among recent college grads is lower than when Obama first took over, reports AP.
