When Danny Lesh found his stolen bike listed for sale on Craigslist and police couldn’t help him right away, he decided to take matters into his own hands. The $600 Cannondale hybrid, which had a prominent identifying sticker on it, was listed for sale for $100 and Lesh arranged to meet with the seller-slash-thief to take the bike for a test ride. But instead of coming back to pay, Lesh just rode off with his property, NBC Washington reports.
"This guy finally started calling me, and left a message saying he was going to call the police," Lesh says with a laugh. He put up an ad on Craigslist warning other users about stolen bikes being listed for sale, and says, "I'm glad that, hopefully, his business is interrupted a little bit."
