President Obama's views may be "evolving" on gay marriage, but Joe Biden's are characteristically blunt: The vice president, though making clear his views were his own, told Meet the Press this morning that he's "absolutely comfortable" with gays tying the knot, saying that the concept of marriage boils down to "Who do you love? And will you be loyal to the person you love?" Cultural norms are changing, the vice president said, citing an unusual source for the sea-change: "I think Will and Grace probably did more to educate the American public than almost anything anybody's ever done so far."
"I am vice president of the United States of America," Biden continued, according to Politico. "The president sets the policy. I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties.
