Warren Buffett Has Prostate Cancer

Warren Buffett today announced he has stage I prostate cancer, but the octogenarian was quick to spread the "good news" that the condition "is not remotely life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way," according to a release spotted by the Wall Street Journal. The Oracle of Omaha reveals that he was diagnosed last Wednesday, and has since undergone a battery of tests that revealed the cancer to be isolated; he'll begin two months of radiation in mid-July, which will cramp his ability to travel "but will not otherwise change my daily routine."

He explains that he feels "great" with a "100%" energy level and only spotted the cancer because a regular test of his PSA level came back elevated. "I will let shareholders know immediately should my health situation change," he writes. "Eventually, of course, it will; but I believe that day is a long way off." (More Warren Buffett stories.)
