Rodney King Identifies With Trayvon's 'Death Scream'

It's not exactly his famous "Can we all get along" plea, but the sentiment is close: CNN catches up with Rodney King in regard to the Trayvon Martin case, and he's calling for patience and cool heads. "I am grieving, like the rest of us, for this young man and his family, but let's allow the justice system to take its course and come together as a country before and after the outcome of the case," he says.

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the LA riots set off by the acquittals of city cops who beat King after a traffic stop. He also weighs in on one aspect of the Trayvon case: the screams for help heard on the 911 call. Like Trayvon's mom, he says he has no doubt they're from the teenager. "The horrifying sound of a young black male screaming for his life on a 911 call reminded me of my horrifying scream on a videotape 20 years ago," King says. "It's a death scream."
