Pakistan will deport the imprisoned members of Osama bin Laden's family next week, once they've finished serving their 45-day sentences for illegally living there, their lawyer announced today. All three of bin Laden's widows and his two daughters, aged 17 and 21, will board a plane to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday—which is interesting, since the Saudi government had been resisting Pakistani requests to repatriate bin Laden's two Saudi-born wives, CNN reports.
Bin Laden's other widow is Yemeni, and though it wasn't clear if she would remain in Saudi Arabia, Yemeni officials say she's welcome to return home. All five women confessed to their crimes, and the lawyer said they would not appeal this "lenient" sentence. A deposition from the Yemeni widow reveals much about the family's life in Pakistan, saying they moved about constantly—with the help of Pakistanis who arranged "everything" for them.
