Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher went on CNN to talk about his congressional run today, and it wasn't exactly a friendly encounter. When host Zoraida Sambolin brought up a past quote in which Wurzelbacher said he wouldn't let his gay friends "anywhere near my children," he got angry. "So this is TMZ, this isn't CNN, is what you're saying," he said. When pressed further he said, "You're trying to do a gotcha moment, it's quite obvious."

Wurzelbacher stressed that he would work to get jobs for everyone. "I'm allowed to have my opinions as an American, but it seems the left becomes very intolerant when you have an opinion other than what they state." Later he told Politico he wasn't sure if he'd be willing to go on CNN again, saying he was "sick of the gossip and drama. There's real issues to work on. ... They want to paint someone as a bigot—I don't hate people." (More Joe the Plumber stories.)
