Colbert Returns, With Shout-Out to Mom

Stephen Colbert sent a shout-out, apparently to his mom, last night upon his return to the Colbert Report. "Evidently, having 11 children makes you tough as nails," he said. "Confidential to a lovely lady." The comment appeared to confirm his sudden hiatus was in fact related to his mother's health, the Huffington Post notes. But Colbert first had to address all the rumors surrounding his departure, noting that some thought his show had been canceled due to an impending presidential run and Joan Rivers suspected he was getting a nose job.
