The crowds are thinner since the days immediately following Steve Jobs' death, but gawkers by the busload are still traveling to Palo Alto to see his house and neighborhood, reports the Los Angeles Times. It cites visitors from as far away as Italy and Hong Kong, as well as constant drive-by's by people snapping photos. Though neighbors are protective, curiosity-seekers have an easy go of it because Jobs lived in relatively modest digs without the trappings of security you might expect.

“I was surprised that anyone can just walk by,” says one woman from Brooklyn, who added that she didn't want to disturb Jobs' widow and children still living in the home. “People should be able to live a normal life, no matter how much money you make or how famous you are.” That didn't stop her from snapping a photo of the house, of course.
