Hard to say whether this will end up being good or bad publicity: While chomping into a monstrous, 8,000-calorie "triple bypass burger" at the Heart Attack Grill in downtown Las Vegas Saturday night, a man had a heart attack. The diner, in his 40's, began sweating and shaking at his table before restaurant owner "Doctor" Jon Basso called 911, reports FOX 5 Vegas. (The restaurant plays up its unhealthy menu with a faux medical setting.)
"I actually felt horrible for the gentleman because the tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of stunt," says Basso. "Even with our own morbid sense of humor, we would never pull a stunt like that." Basso says his no-holds-barred junk food eatery has seen health incidents before, but never a full-blown heart attack, even though patrons who are over 350 pounds eat for free. The diner is reportedly recuperating. (More heart attack stories.)
